1. Who is responsible

2. The short version

This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no advertising trackers. We only process the data needed to deliver the website and to answer you when you contact us.

3. Hosting and server logs

This website is hosted by Netlify, Inc., USA. When you visit the site, Netlify's servers automatically process technical data your browser sends: IP address, date and time of access, page requested, browser type and operating system. This is necessary to deliver the website securely and to prevent misuse.

Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a secure, working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Netlify processes this data on our behalf under a data processing agreement. Data may be transferred to the USA; Netlify's agreement includes the EU Standard Contractual Clauses for such transfers.

Storage period: the log data is kept only as long as needed for these purposes and is then deleted automatically according to Netlify's retention periods. We do not combine it with other data or use it to identify you.

4. Fonts

The fonts on this website are hosted on our own server. No connection to Google or other font providers is made when you visit the site.

5. Prices in your currency

To show prices in your currency, the page reads your browser's language and time zone settings. This happens only in your browser: the information is not sent to us, not stored and no cookie is set.

6. Contact form

If you use the form on this website, we process the shop URL, your email address and your optional message to prepare your German Market Check and to reply to you. Legal basis: steps prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Form submissions are received and stored by Netlify, Inc., USA, on our behalf under the data processing agreement described in section 3, and forwarded to our email inbox. We delete submissions once they are no longer needed, unless statutory retention periods apply. A hidden field filters out automated spam; no cookies or tracking are used for this.

7. Contact by email

If you email us, we process your email address, your name and the content of your message, for example your shop URL, to answer your request and, if you wish, to prepare a German Market Check or a quote.

Legal basis: steps prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Our email is provided by Google Workspace (Google). Google processes emails on our behalf under its Cloud Data Processing Addendum. Data may be transferred to the USA; such transfers are covered by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses included in that addendum and by Google's certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

We delete your messages once they are no longer needed, unless statutory retention periods require us to keep them, for example for business correspondence relating to a contract.

8. Your rights

You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict its processing, to receive it in a portable format, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. To exercise these rights, email hello@germanmarketready.com.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the EU member state where you live or work.

We update this policy when our website or services change. The current version is always available on this page.
